SEEDA Offers EU Funds

SEEDA invites applicants to apply for EU funds now available for the South East.

SEEDA, having secured £15.2m (€23.706m) for the South East, invites organisations in the region to apply for funding.

The funding comes from the South East European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Competitiveness Programme 2007-13, the programme aims to promote competitiveness and sustainability, whilst stimulating innovation.

"SEEDA is focused on delivering real results with the allocated monies. Although this is a relatively small European grant, the potential to attract extra funding and demonstrate both the environmental and business benefits of sustainable practice cannot be underestimated”., said Sue John, SEEDA board member, Chair of the Joint Europe Committee and member of the Programme Monitoring Committee."

The Programme launch will take place at Winchester Guildhall on Wednesday 14th May, attendees will include the public sector, local authorities and environmental groups wanting to get involved and learn how to apply for funding.

Opportunities of this EC structural fund will be outlined at European, Regional and Local level by:

  • Elizabeth Holt, Head of Regional Affairs + Networks, European Commission, Representation in the UK
