Pam Alexander on BBC newsPam Alexander was interviewed as part of a special report on the impact of the economic downturn on construction and regeneration projects across the UK. Research commissioned by the Local Government Association shows that London and the South East will be hardest hit.

SEEDA is responsible for some of the most high profile regeneration projects in the South East, including the £9bn Thames Gateway Project, which is the largest regeneration programme in northern Europe.

Pam Alexander detailed the impact on house-building at the project, the importance of boosting consumer confidence in the building sector, identifying areas for growth and the importance of upskilling people in preparation for the upturn.
